The Simpsons - Season 24
The adventures come back to reflect a wide range of powerful events in this dramatic series. The season begins with the Simpsons' return to New York City, where Bart can find his old girlfriend Mary Spookler, and Lisa and Marge try to make a trip to New York's cheap culture. On the other hand, Marge decides she wants another child but Homer has another opinion about that, and Bart tries to figure out where Lisa goes after school.

Compared to the "meh" premiere of South Park, it's certainly better than most of what's on TV.

The Simpsons has always had some sick humor, but I don't it being this consistently cruel and, worse, generic.

There's nothing very original about the premiere.
