John Michael Phillips is an American lawyer, consumer and civil rights advocate, and legal commentator. He regularly comments in the news media and his cases are frequently the subject of news coverage and documentaries. He occasionally has acted and performed voice over work, but his work as a lawyer and legal consultant takes the time he has outside of being a father and husband. He is primarily known for being legal counsel for Joe Exotic, Omarosa Manigault Newman and the family of Jordan Davis. He has appeared in Tiger King and in the Emmy award winning film The Armor of Light.
